Now, one might not think, anything about art would be featured on my blog but check out the talent of artist, Sylvie Roussel-Janssens. She is a native of Montreal, but has been living in the lower mainland of British Columbia since graduating from Emily Carr College of Art.
I have had the opportunity to get to know Sylvie over the last 6 months and see her art in the flesh. The two new pieces below I am most excited to see as Sylvie has incorporated paddling images into her already stunning artwork.
The
pieces are 2 layers of polyester fabric that are hand sewn on a welded
wire structure. The light comes from a series of 5 watt bulbs.
