Just
wanted to touch base and say one more thank you before we leave for Seattle
tomorrow evening!
We
are still working on the never ending nightmare of Brazilian customs but are
making some headway and hoping to get our boats pretty quickly upon arrival. It
looks like we are going to have a warm welcome in Belem though as some members
of the Brazilian Canoe Federation are going to meet us at the airport and even
give us a place to stay. After sorting out customs and receiving the boats, we
are ready and raring to go. All the gear is in place and we are feeling strong
and comfortable in the boats.
The
Werner paddles and the Kokatat gear have been great! We are feeling really great with
the paddles and the PFDs are more and more comfortable each day.
We're
also getting some good press on some local TV and print news, Canoe and Kayak
Magazine, and Coast Mountain Culture!
Anyways,
just wanted to give an update and say thanks again. We really couldn't have
gotten this far without your help.
